Amy Eidt Jackson is an artist of distillled light and interpreted environments. Her work reflects her love of nature and the inspiration of the natural landscape. The incredible subtleties of atmosphere and the immediate reaction to our surroundings are translated into the unique perspective which the artist breathes into her work, all culminating into a canvas of unique time, place, and being. 



The artist's work are in many private and corporate collections. She is a member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), Los Angeles Art Association, SoCal Papa, and participates in exhibitions throughout Southern California. She frequently paints "plein-air" in a contemporary revival of the outdoor painting tradition. The pure exhilaration of chasing the immediate and capturing it in oils, watercolor, ceramic or pastels is celebrated in every piece. 



Eidt Jackson has studied art and art history in Southern California and on the east coast, as well as at the Universita di Firenze, in Florence Italy and the Cotswolds of England. She has created multi media works, as well as exploring the meaning of time as it relates to the Japanese lute. 



Presently she works in her studios in Laguna Beach, surrounded by her family and a multitude of animals, as well as Birch Studio in Newport Beach. Her works are featured in Laguna Art Gallery, the Sawdust Festival, and the Look Glass Gallery in Vence, France. She warmly welcomes studio visits!
